Flaneur Hospitality's flagship property, The Fifth Avenue Hotel, is seeking a seasoned Learning and Development Manager to join the executive leadership team for the opening of a 150-room five-star hotel.

Job Overview

The Learning and Development Manager will possess a background in training development, execution, and human resources with experience building culture and team member relations.

  • Be the brand's culture ambassador and assist in creating formal and informal programs needed to ensure our team members have an incredible experience working at The Fifth.
  • Create an environment where our team members can experience The Fifth Avenue Hotel in the way of a flaneur, where every detail is curated, tells a story, and leaves a lasting impression.
  • Strategically align L&D initiatives with the hotel's business needs.
Your Focus

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and conducting orientations that delight, engage, and reward curiosity.
  • Leading the relationship with Forbes Travel Guide and Master Connections.
  • Organizing and planning for the Forbes training and evaluations.
  • Achieving the Forbes 5-Star rating.
  • Owning the pre-opening training calendar and planning needed for the various sessions.
  • Conducting regular needs assessments of training and development programs to ensure that the content is relevant and meets the current needs of the hotel.
  • Providing metrics and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
  • Creating a team member mentorship program.
Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of learning and development management experience within a luxury hotel.
  • Experience working with Forbes Travel Guide.
  • Hotel pre-opening experience preferred.
Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
