We are looking for a dedicated and innovative individual to take on the role of Vice President of Operations. This position is critical in shaping the future of our charter school network, which serves a diverse student body and aims to enhance the educational landscape in Louisiana.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the financial, logistical, and operational functions of the Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans. This includes managing the school network's financial operations, facilities management, technology initiatives, and compliance with local and federal regulations.

This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including educational leaders and community partners, to develop strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and vision. The Vice President will focus on long-term and short-term operational strategies to ensure the effective functioning of all divisions within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management

  • Oversee the preparation and monitoring of financial documents, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Manage the annual audit process and coordinate financial reporting with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct assessments to identify areas for financial improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Support fundraising initiatives from an operational perspective.
Operations and Logistics
  • Manage capital improvement projects and facility maintenance to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish a vision for operational excellence and ensure alignment with educational goals.
  • Maintain relationships with local agencies and partners to support operational needs.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to safety and emergency preparedness protocols across the organization.
  • Develop training programs for staff on compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage risks associated with operational functions.
Human Resources
  • Lead the human resources team to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and retention efforts to build a strong workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee the performance and development of direct reports, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among teams.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
