Job Overview

The Team Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant while embodying the culture of Saint Honor. This position involves collaborating with the restaurant Manager to ensure adherence to all company protocols and standards during each shift. The Supervisor must be well-versed in both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) responsibilities, driving results through effective team leadership and outstanding guest service.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Operations Management:
  • Ensure all team members adhere to the established standards of conduct and operational policies.
  • Strive to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience by ensuring accuracy and timeliness in food and beverage service.
  • Lead energetic shifts and utilize company resources to maintain high performance.
  • Be an active participant during shifts; address needs proactively.
  • Oversee key operational metrics including cleanliness, maintenance, labor management, guest service, food quality, and the overall culture of the restaurant.
  • Act as a guest advocate, effectively communicating their needs to team members to enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage shift preparations and administrative tasks efficiently.
Team Leadership:
  • Coach and develop team members on proper procedures and best practices.
  • Inspire team members to reach their full potential during shifts.
  • Ensure the safety of both team members and guests throughout the shift.
  • Report and manage all risk-related issues in accordance with company standards.
Financial Oversight:
  • Assist management in monitoring aspects that impact business performance, including labor costs, waste, sales, and cost of goods.
  • Oversee daily cash handling procedures.
  • Provide accurate inventory assessments and reporting.
  • Respond promptly to team member and guest concerns to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory roles.
  • Proficient in various technology systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Strong initiative and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
  • Good physical condition and alertness to the needs of management, staff, and guests.
  • Act as a brand ambassador both within and outside the restaurant.
