Key Responsibilities
  • Pool Safety and Operations: Safeguard the health and safety of members, class participants, and guests; enforce guidelines and safety policies; and maintain a clean and safe pool environment.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to member inquiries, and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Swim Director and other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Participate in regular in-service training, attend meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Current lifeguard certification, CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification, and successful completion of the Y of Central Maryland swim test.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Character and Reputation: Good character and reputation, capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities, and capable of accepting training and supervision.
