Job Title: Nutrition Associate Manager/Diet Tech (Corrections)

Job Responsibilities

Overview:

Aramark is seeking a skilled Nutrition Associate Manager to support the nutrition programs at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support to meet client and operational therapeutic nutrition needs, collaborate with medical staff on written diet orders, and assist in the execution of diet orders, quality assurance programs, and food service production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutrition assessments, care plans, education, and provide follow-up for correctional facility onsite clinics in assigned territory.
  • Document appropriately in electronic medical records and coordinate nutrition care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Support the Food Service Director in implementing therapeutic diet needs, including daily orders, tray assembly, sanitation, training of staff, and proper documentation.
  • Assist in providing and documenting in-service trainings for all employees related to diet implementation and/or documentation.
  • Collaborate with medical staff on written diet orders to ensure consistency and understanding of diet meal plans created.
  • Prepare monthly diet summary reports and provide supervising dietitian and/or manager with overall input on general food preferences, food allergies, meal plan development, and in-service training creation.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) as a Dietetic Technician, with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
  • ServSafe and CPR/BLS certified (or ability to earn certifications).
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively with clients, medical staff, front-line managers, and on-site staff.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently utilize an electronic medical record system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel between facilities.
