Position Overview

The Community Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting individuals in navigating and accessing a variety of essential resources related to finance, healthcare, education, and more. This position involves providing comprehensive community resource information, making suitable referrals, and ensuring follow-up on those referrals to support community members effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the needs of clients and deliver pertinent information and community referrals, including assistance with clothing, food, shelter, rapid housing services, rental aid, and general support.
  • Guide clients through the completion of various applications, such as food assistance, Medicaid, employment opportunities, and public assistance recertification.
  • Manage the identification program to aid clients in obtaining necessary identification documents, including birth certificates and social security cards.
  • Stay informed about available community resources and services.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The role is eligible for benefits, including six weeks of paid time off and eleven holidays.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $18.03.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Familiarity with community resources and the ability to access them effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals who have received mental health and/or substance use services.
  • Willingness to share personal experiences related to mental health and/or addiction recovery.
  • Ability to engage with individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer skills.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
