Facilities Operations Manager

Job Overview:
As the Facilities Operations Manager, you will oversee the effective management and maintenance of all facility services, processes, systems, and operations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the maintenance of building and grounds, along with office operations and staff management.
  • Negotiate contracts with facility vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and use of facility amenities, including meeting spaces.
  • Lead the workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA and ADA standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the facilities department.
  • Implement cost allocation strategies for facility operations and services.
  • Monitor facility expenses monthly and apply continuous improvement techniques to manage costs.
  • Develop and maintain emergency management and training programs for facility operations.
  • Assign projects and staff duties based on facility needs and priorities.
  • Maintain effective communication with building occupants and service providers.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of facilities department personnel.
  • Address inquiries and concerns from building residents promptly.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a B.A./B.S. degree in a relevant technical or business field, along with a minimum of six years of professional experience demonstrating the ability to fulfill the responsibilities outlined. Certification in a specialized area (e.g., APICS) may be preferred based on specific role requirements.

Proven leadership experience in a team environment for at least two years, along with demonstrated success in managing significant projects or programs, is essential.

A comprehensive understanding of products, manufacturing processes, technology, information systems, and general business practices is required. Candidates should exhibit strong teamwork and team-building capabilities, with a focus on achieving organizational goals and fostering a positive work environment.
