Position Overview

The River Crossing YMCA is seeking a dedicated Lead Youth Swim Team Coach to join our team.

Position Details:

Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Weekdays from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and weekend swim meets


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the coaching, training, and development of our swim team participants
  • Motivating swimmers throughout the season by assisting them in setting and achieving realistic goals
  • Ensuring the safety and supervision of all swimmers
  • Assessing team members and documenting their progress during practices and competitions
  • Managing administrative tasks related to the Swim Team
  • Supporting and engaging in the Y Swim Team private lesson program through scheduled sessions

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Possess knowledge and experience in competitive swimming
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in any capacity (professional, volunteer, or familial)
  • Serve as a positive role model for our young athletes
  • Capable of performing First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training will be provided)
