Job Summary:

SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technical Maintenance II to support the U.S Navy in Bedford, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individualized sub-assemblies, including large cabinet type structures, power supplies, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards, cabling, and assorted materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Depopulation of sub-assemblies and coordination with team members for proper storage, transportation, and auditing of inventory.
  • Integration of decommissioned items from ships into the storage facility.
  • Travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.
  • Providing support for documenting the disassembly process and procedural development.
  • Assisting with Bill of Materials Development as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience working in electronics; OR Associate's Degree and electronics training.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; not needed to start.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Familiar with Military packaging, handling, and marking of assets for shipment and storage.
  • Possess technical capabilities to disassemble PCBs, power supplies, and other electronic equipment from cabinets and ship equipment.
  • Familiar with the handling of PCBs and able to abide by all Electronic Discharge processes and procedures.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Possess the ability to work alone without supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience.
  • Naval ship technician-related experience.
