Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support the U.S. Navy in Bedford, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individualized sub-assemblies, depopulating items, and coordinating with team members to ensure proper storage, transportation, and auditing of inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage individualized sub-assemblies, including large cabinet type structures, power supplies, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards.
  • Depopulate items and coordinate with team members to ensure proper storage, transportation, and auditing of inventory.
  • Integrate decommissioned items from ships into the storage facility.
  • Travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane frequently.
  • Provide support for documenting the disassembly process and assist with procedural development and Bill of Materials Development as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience working in electronics, or Associate's Degree and electronics training.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Familiar with Military packaging, handling, and marking of assets for shipment and storage.
  • Possess technical capabilities to disassemble PCBs, power supplies, and other electronic equipment from cabinets and ship equipment.
  • Familiar with the handling of PCBs and able to abide by all Electronic Discharge processes and procedures.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Possess the ability to work alone without supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Desired Qualifications
  • Forklift experience.
  • Naval ship technician-related experience.
