Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team at Uline. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our multi-disciplinary teams, including maintenance, security, grounds, and custodial workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance, security, and grounds teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Schedule and assign duties to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, sites, and equipment to identify areas for improvement and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
  • Work with vendors to oversee the execution of contracted services and maintain records and reports for management review.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve facilities operations and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on management or leadership experience in high-volume distribution centers.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), landscaping, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods for initial training at Uline's other North American locations.
