Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team at Yamhill County Health & Human Services. As a key member of our Community Support Services (CSS) programs, you will work closely with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses, many of whom have co-occurring substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized, person-centered services and supports to program participants in the community.
  • Provide skills training and supports to assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining employment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement personalized plans for program participants.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of services and make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, their families, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling, and at least one year of experience in a setting relevant to the duties and skills noted above.
  • Ability to meet, or have the ability to meet, the qualifications of CADC to work in chemical dependency programs and/or meet the QMHA requirement in mental health programs.
  • CADC certification preferred.
  • Successful background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of community mental health services and chemical dependency treatment models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and customer service.
