Job Summary

Yamhill County Health & Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Supported Employment Specialist to join our Community Support Services team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders to provide individualized, person-centered services and supports in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skills training and supports to assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining employment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver individualized services and supports.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field AND at least one year of experience in a setting relevant to the duties and skills noted above.
  • Within 1 year of hire, may need to meet, or have the ability to meet the qualifications of CADC to work in chemical dependency program and/or meet the QMHA requirement in the mental health program.
  • CADC certification preferred.
  • Successful background check will be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of community mental health services and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with clients, families, and community partners in a courteous and professional manner.
