Job Title: General Electrical Superintendent

At Knobelsdorff Enterprises, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Electrical Superintendent to join our team. As a key leader in the management and growth of our field personnel, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all job site activities and personnel, including on-site planning, material and equipment management, process execution, and safety.
  • Ensure daily progress reporting to the project team, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
  • Interpret and manage construction activities based on installation standards, project files, drawings, documents, and records.
  • Lead Benchmarking, shareholder review, and approval activities based on Installation standards.
  • Coordinate and manage field personnel and subcontractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project procedures, schedules, and standards.
  • Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, specifying and ordering materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Review employee time and expenses, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Manage crew efficiency and assess task-based time.
  • Communicate conflicts or issues that have the potential to affect the schedule.
  • Lead by example and work alongside field technicians when needed.
  • Build and manage a weekly schedule with a forecasted 3-week look ahead.
  • Adhere to local labor laws, including Journeyman to Apprentice ratios.
  • Represent the company on-site, interacting with Inspectors, customers, landowners, OSHA, and other stakeholders.
  • Aid in engineering constructability, design, review, and execution planning.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical construction.
  • Self-starter and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license with a history of safe and competent driving.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods.
  • Ability to work in inclement conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to manually dig and back-fill holes and trenches.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
