About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cryogenic Valve Subsystem Responsible Engineer to join our Fluids team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development of our cryogenic valve systems, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define initial system requirements and facilitate architectural trade studies for cryogenic valves
  • Formulate early design cycles and work with internal and external suppliers to design, build, test, and analyze components
  • Plan and manage component schedules, risks, and mitigation plans for hardware development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cryogenic valve systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in fluids and mechanical systems/components, with a focus on cryogenic valve systems
  • Experience developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
  • Systems Engineering experience, specifically requirements and interface definition, management, and verification
  • Cryogenic fluids experience and knowledge of 3D CAD programs and Finite Element Analysis

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $136,467.00-$191,053.80, depending on location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
