Job Summary:

The Procurement Director will lead the procurement function for Blackstone Consulting, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Identify new suppliers, products, and services to enhance the company's procurement capabilities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform procurement decisions.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of procurement requests and analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Manage and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive procurement experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, processes, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of leading procurement transformations and implementing best-in-class P2P processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement technologies and tools, such as e-Procurement systems, spend analysis, and contract management software.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Deep understanding of procurement compliance and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the security, healthcare, janitorial, or food service industries.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree or MBA.
  • Advanced Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
