Job Description

Position Overview:

This is an entry-level sales position that offers an employee exposure to all facets of the sales organization for the Specialty Containers business unit. The role provides a broad base for building a sales career or demonstrating ability to move upward within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and Communicate Pricing Changes: Work with sales, cash management group, and customers to ensure seamless pricing changes.
  • Manage Sales and Coordination of Orders: Oversee sales and coordination of orders for various house accounts.
  • Provide Forecasting Support: Assist the Supply Chain Organization with forecasting and data analysis.
  • Coordinate Sales Data for Monthly Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate sales data for monthly reporting.
  • Contact Customers Regarding Accounts Receivable: Reach out to select customers regarding the status of their accounts receivable.
  • Provide Miscellaneous Support: Offer support to the Sales and Marketing functions as needed.
  • Assist with Price Quotations and Contract Compliance: Help with price quotations, monitoring contract compliance, and developing promotional events.
  • Manage Multiple Priorities: Effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Execute Tactical Plans: Execute tactical plans based on the strategic direction of the business.
  • Commercial and Financial Analysis: Conduct commercial and financial analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate with Plants, R&D, and F&A: Collaborate with plants, R&D, and F&A to complete specification sheets for stock packages.
  • Assist with Research Projects: Support Market Development Manager with research projects, analyzing segments, building customer databases, and competitive analysis.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of sales experience, including negotiating, strategy development, and building value propositions.
  • Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint software. SAP, Salesforce, and previous exposure to manufacturing processes and technical knowledge within the plastics industry are preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: High energy level, ability to learn quickly, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization.
