Responsibilities
  • Original and Copy Cataloging: Perform original and copy cataloging tasks to add new materials to our collection and maintain the accuracy of existing records.
  • Call Number Assignment: Assign call numbers to materials to facilitate easy location and retrieval.
  • Barcode and RFID Tagging: Assign barcodes and RFID tags to materials to enable efficient check-out and tracking.
  • MARC Record Management: Add and maintain MARC records for digital resources to ensure accurate representation in our catalog.
  • Library Materials Processing: Coordinate the processing of library materials, including receiving, cataloging, and shelving.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong cataloging skills: Experience with original and copy cataloging, including MARC record creation and maintenance.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to accurately assign call numbers, barcodes, and RFID tags.
  • Organizational skills: Capacity to coordinate the processing of library materials and maintain accurate records.
