Job Overview

The Coordinator I, Nursing Administration is a vital role within the Nursing Department at Lifelancer. This position provides oversight and facilitation of day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating support functions, such as scheduling, communications, and staff support, while making process decisions based on best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily and long-term operations of assigned areas, maintaining up-to-date lists of RN-to-BSN candidates, admits, and graduates.
  • Assist with advising students individually and in groups regarding academic requirements, class selection, and campus resources.
  • Create and submit reports related to assigned departments, perform research and analysis, and make presentations at various levels.
  • Assist with recruiting and maintaining advising records and other student records.
  • Train and monitor department staff, schedule work activities, and develop training materials.
  • Evaluate programs and make recommendations for revisions to processes and procedures, focusing on continuous departmental improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage department and management calendars, schedules, and meetings, including site selection and preparation, marketing, and training materials.
  • Monitor and control resources, such as office supplies and equipment, and submit requisitions with reconciliation documentation.
  • Assist with entering and tracking the department budget.
  • Monitor and maintain the department website for external use.
  • Participate in and lead special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and use instructional software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others to determine needs and work independently to create programs to meet those needs.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
Work Environment

The work is sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
