Job Summary

JEVS Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounts payable team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Financial Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain vendor maintenance records and monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle inquiries and resolve discrepancies from vendors and internal management.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline the accounts payable workflow.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on accounting regulations and compliance requirements such as 1099s filing.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in accounts payable or related accounting role, with 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and knowledge of Great Plains accounting software.
  • Leadership: Leadership and team building skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: The base pay for this position ranges from $74,000 to $93,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience.
