Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our properties at all times, maintaining a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general repairs to apartments, common areas, and grounds
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
  • Remove trash and recyclables
  • Respond to emergency repairs and maintenance requests
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and landscaping
  • Order maintenance equipment and supplies
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and management
  • Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Applicant must furnish their own tools and have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies
  • Preferred certifications: HVAC, CPO, CFC/EPA, and CAMT
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, walk between buildings and on roofs, stoop, kneel, and bend
Work Environment

40+ hours a week, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours may be required. We are a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment background checks and drug screening on all new hires.
