Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of perioperative care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist members of the anesthesia staff in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to position patients for special procedures.
- Participate in the transfer of patients from stretcher/bed to the operating room.
- Attach vital signs and related monitoring devices to patients.
- Perform related duties in a prompt and courteous manner, such as transporting blood samples to respiratory for blood gases.
- Maintain appropriate supply of anesthesia equipment and pharmaceutical supplies in all locations where anesthesia and related procedures are administered in the hospital.
- Coordinate requests from the anesthesia team by collecting items needed during each surgical procedure.
- Monitor a log of daily anesthesia equipment safety checks, performed by anesthesia technician, and documented appropriately, to comply with safety requirements established by the hospital, accreditation requisites and regulatory agencies.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 months Hospital experience required.
- Previous Anesthesia Tech Experience preferred.
