Job Description

  • Job Title: Quality Engineer II
  • Job Summary: The Quality Engineer II will be responsible for managing quality operations, developing quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality standards, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100)
  • Conduct statistical analyses to assess quality assurance and cost-of-quality metrics, and identify trends for improvement
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Conduct in-house and supplier audits to ensure compliance with specified requirements and improve supplier performance
  • Investigate and address product failures through root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Work closely with customers and suppliers to address quality issues and implement performance improvement programs
  • Provide quality-related input to product development teams to ensure standards are met from design to production

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 2-4+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and related standards; FAA experience is a plus
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated experience with supplier quality audits and performance management
