Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant

Ambitious and results-driven Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant sought to join the Mercedes-Benz Group team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling new and pre-owned Commercial Vehicles to corporate fleet accounts and individual commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless sales experience for all Mercedes-Benz customers.
  • Analyze market trends and develop strategies to drive sales and profits.
  • Assist customers in selecting and ordering Commercial Vehicles by understanding their business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale of new and used light/medium commercial vehicles.
  • Prospect for new and used commercial vehicle customers through various channels, including telephone and in-person visits.
  • Cold call new customers to increase Commercial Vehicle sales.
  • Sell all aspects of the dealership, including Sales, Parts, Collision, and Service.
  • Manage the dealership's Sprinter and Metris inventory and inventory turn cycles.
  • Prepare and provide sales reports, listings of prospects, quotes, and units available for sale.
  • Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.
  • Demonstrate new and used vans to customers, including test drives.
  • Ensure accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Log sold vehicles in Quickbase, including deliveries for new and used Commercial Vehicles.
  • Mark sold units in Advent as sold.
  • Attend sales and training meetings as required.
  • Continuously study vehicle and equipment specifications to improve product knowledge.
  • Appraise used vehicles when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in parts administration or inventory management.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, if necessary.
  • Physical stamina to withstand the demands of the job.
  • Experience with CDK or other automotive software is a plus.
  • General knowledge of processes, software, costs, and techniques to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.
