Job Description

Job Summary:

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Graphic Designer to join our team in Beaverton, OR. As a key member of our Information Technology team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative graphic solutions for our clients.

About the Role:

This is a Graphic Design Position - Expert Level. We are looking for a talented designer with 8+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in Apparel product creation or in an agency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design craft, innovation, and visual culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ideation & Visioning: Generate new ideas and concepts for graphic design projects, working closely with product creation teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Research/Engineering: Conduct research and analysis to inform design decisions, and develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test and validate design ideas.
  • Project Management: Lead graphic design projects from conception to completion, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Communication: Develop and present design concepts and solutions to internal stakeholders, and communicate design decisions and rationale to team members and clients.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 10 years directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert.
  • 8+ years' experience of graphic design, preferably in Apparel product creation or in an agency.
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
  • Strong Adobe CC skills (Illustrator & Photoshop) and comfortable working within new digital spaces.
  • Passion for design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.
  • Strong illustration, typography, brand identity, and color theory skills.
  • Knowledge of repeat pattern creation, printing techniques specific to textiles, understanding how designs will translate from digital to physical.
  • Knowledge of apparel product creation and basic knowledge of garment construction.
  • Positive personality and energy.
  • Ability and passion to lead, mentor and onboard Design teammates.
