About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Reston Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI Examinations: Conduct a variety of MRI procedures, including brain, body, spine, and extremities scans, ensuring accurate and effective imaging.
  • Adjust Scanning Parameters: Select and modify technical factors to enhance images, using techniques such as flare and SAT imaging.
  • Identify Gross Pathology: Determine anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.
  • Communicate with Patients and Staff: Effectively explain procedures, inform patients of potential risks, and communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Accurately document patient information, including examination details, contrast used, and patient care.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Technology: Demonstrate proficiency in applicable computer software and maintain knowledge of new technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or MRI Accredited Certificate Program.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as an MRI technologist, with registry eligibility or advanced certification in MRI required.
