Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized breast procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform routine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality images.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
  • RHM-Radiology Mammography upon hire.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine mammographic examinations and possessing a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.
Working Conditions
  • Job Shift: Day/Evening.
  • Schedule: Full Time.
  • Shift Hours: 8.
  • Days of the Week: Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday, Variable, Wednesday.
  • Weekend Requirements: As Needed.
