About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and therapeutic treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures: Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Preparation: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and scanners, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or a related field, and certification as a nuclear medicine technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology, with a strong background in imaging and diagnostic procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, procedures, and safety protocols.
