Job Summary

The Desktop Support Specialist is a key member of the Technology Department at Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, responsible for providing top-notch support to our user community. This includes delivering expert assistance for Microsoft products, mobile devices, laptops, printers, basic network issues, and general technical support for both onsite and remote users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Windows 10/11
  • Setting up video conferencing meetings, particularly Zoom
  • Providing proficient support for Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experienced in mobile device support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude
  • Regularly communicating with IT management about departmental issues
  • Demonstrating effective time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Upholding high standards of integrity and business ethics
  • Abiding by company rules, policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Consistently reporting to work on time prepared to perform duties of position

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of hands-on desktop support experience required
  • Law Firm experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment during installation and maintenance

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full-time position with a 40-hour work week
  • Workdays are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional, infrequent evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

Travel:

  • Occasional, infrequent daytime travel may be required
