Role Summary: The Technical Assembler is responsible for the assembly and testing of fire protection valves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and promptly reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to ascertain necessary materials for valve assembly.
  • Collect and verify parts, files, and serial numbers accurately.
  • Assemble various components within the valves.
  • Conduct testing of new product parts for engineering evaluations.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate machinery and execute minor repairs as required.
  • Rework valves that have not passed pressure testing.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with returned products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace, adhering to the company's 5S program.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

  • Proficient in operating machines and computers.
  • Understanding of standard safety practices in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Personal protective equipment is mandatory during operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Appropriate safety gear, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots, is required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements efficiently.
  • Good dexterity and coordination are necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in assembly or manufacturing.
