Training Operations Specialist

Overview:
TEKsystems is in search of a committed Technical Trainer to deliver vital administrative assistance to the Employee Relations and Training Branch (ERTB). This role is essential in managing training functions and supporting both internal personnel and leadership.
Position Summary:
As a Technical Trainer, you will oversee complex processes such as training protocols, outgoing communications, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Your duties will include coordinating training events, managing documentation, and supporting a range of training initiatives. This includes the integration of a newly established tax system, onboarding new employees, and other educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Administrative Branch Manager and team members.
- Oversee purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and tracking.
- Coordinate training events, including venue reservations, equipment arrangements, and participant communications.
- Assist in revising internal documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Develop, revise, and proofread outgoing communications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the design and facilitation of training sessions, including logistical support and learner assistance.
- Respond to training inquiries, including those directed to the DOR Training mailbox.
- Manage tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Update departmental websites and SharePoint sites with pertinent information.
- Deliver training to learners using various instructional methods.
- Actively pursue and complete professional development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, Teams).
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Positive demeanor and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Responsiveness to virtual communications while working remotely.
- Capability to tailor training approaches to accommodate diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supply ordering.
- Experience in designing and delivering training through various methods.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles.
- Experience with survey development tools (e.g., Mentimeter).
- Familiarity with course creation platforms (e.g., Articulate 360).
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
- Understanding of IRS Publication 1075 and systems handling Federal Tax Information (FTI).
Skills:
