Position Overview

The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Consultant to join our Facilities Management Division. This role is integral to ensuring the operational efficiency of our facilities and enhancing the overall experience of our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of capital project repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide support to maintenance personnel with complex repair issues.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff in skilled trades.
  • Evaluate equipment and operational needs for budget planning related to capital projects.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of five years in maintenance or repair roles, specifically in HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems. Formal training in these areas may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Special Requirements: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions

Applicants should be prepared for potential emergency repairs and must be capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting items over 20 pounds, bending, standing, and climbing.
