Job Overview

The Boeing Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking a Procurement Agent to support our Transportation and Warehousing team, with a primary focus on transportation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for Request for Quote (RFP) activities, including source selection, negotiation of terms, analysis, and contract award.
  • Interpret contract language to address discrepancies effectively.
  • Utilize multiple data systems to reconcile spending information, process orders, and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of contracts to ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Prepare and execute contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Optimize supply chain execution by balancing inventory, supply orders, and demand schedules.
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, and financial stability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may arise.
  • Initiate supplier improvement initiatives and integrate results into contracting strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental requirements and embrace a lean mindset to identify efficiencies.

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid, requiring some on-site work as determined by the hiring team. The role necessitates periodic participation in All Employee Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and supplier visits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in interpreting and enforcing contract terms.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data extraction and compilation from various sources.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and build stakeholder trust.
  • Experience presenting to leadership teams at a director level or above.
  • Experience in mentoring others to enhance understanding of processes or commodities.

Education & Experience:

Associate Level: Typically requires 3 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. An advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Mid-Level: Typically requires 6 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. An advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information:

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Boeing maintains a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts testing for substances as outlined in company policies.

Compensation:

Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market considerations. The summary pay range for associate level positions is $56,100-$87,400, while for mid-level positions it is $69,700-$108,100.
