Job Overview

The Press Operations Manager will oversee the set up and operation of a Web Press, focusing on safety, productivity, quality, and good housekeeping. This role requires consistency in proficiency and understanding in data collection systems, job tickets, and daily production schedules.

This is a day shift position with opportunities for overtime on a regular schedule of three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week). Salary based on experience.

B&B offers an apprenticeship program for various roles, including printing, bindery, and fulfillment positions, along with full benefits. You'll have the chance to cross-train on equipment, gaining vast experience in one of the fastest-growing industries in North America.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Read, understand, and execute work orders accurately, ensuring successful resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with manufacturing management to achieve company goals, including customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Use data collection systems consistently and accurately, meeting data collection requirements specified in quality documentation and by management.
  • Maintain press resources, including scheduled maintenance and supplies, and ensure thorough completion of maintenance activities.
  • Direct the work of the Second Press Operator, including training and support as needed.
  • Inspect samples for quality, ensuring autocount printouts and computer entries are correct and accurate.
Requirements
  • Excellent vision and color perception.
  • Dexterity and ability to operate jacks safely.
  • Ability to remain physically and mentally alert during 12-hour shifts.
  • Capable of repeated standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting skid bundles (up to 60lbs) for extended periods.
