Rochester Electronics is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join its team.

Job Overview

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in engineering and technical fields, looking to leverage their expertise in process development and improvement. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will work closely with Process Engineers to design and implement efficient processes that meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

This estimate is based on industry standards for similar roles in the electronics manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Collaborate with Process Engineers to establish high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up and operate equipment, develop process programs, and ensure smooth production operations.
  • Design of Experiments (DOE): Assist Process Engineers in designing experiments to gather data for analysis and improve process efficiency.
  • Cost Management: Apply principles of Cost of Goods Sold to identify areas for process improvements and increase cost-effectiveness.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: Ensure that Intellectual Property issues are considered when developing new processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Engineering or Technical Field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
  • Electro-Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
