TLC Electronics is a leading Electro-Mechanical Component Distributor and Wire and Cable Harness Manufacturer, celebrating 40 years of business. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with prospects and customers to grow our distribution parts business. This will involve building relationships with key representatives and principles of product lines, learning product lines and attributes, and recommending new lines to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting: Work with Marketing on campaigns, host or attend sales and marketing events, find leads for distributions, contact warm and cold leads, and develop rapport with prospects.
  • Selling: Present TLC Electronics and product lines we distribute, identify selling opportunities, design in or cross to our product lines on customer programs, obtain cost, apply margin, and present quote to customer, follow through on opportunities, and build relationships with key people at customers that have frequent new opportunities.
  • Administrative: Attend internal meetings, supply requested information including sales activities, submit quarterly forecasts, submit authorized expense reports in a timely manner, and ensure that data is accurately entered and managed with the company's CRM and other sales applications.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of selling experience of electronic/electromechanical products at a technical level.
  • Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams).
  • Valid Driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of electronic component distribution, wire, cable, interconnect or electromechanical sales experience, sales processes, technical presentation development and execution of presentations to small and medium size audiences.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and the ability to talk and hear. They must also be able to frequently sit for prolonged amounts of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm's length, climb or balance, stoop or bend, push, pull, kneel, and crouch as job requires. They must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
