Job Summary

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide quality medical care to clients in our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, IN.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a compassionate team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
  • Assist with nursing shift duties, including vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting, and reporting
  • Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
  • Manage medical supplies, order medications, and res-stock as necessary
  • Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
  • Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations
Requirements
  • High School diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid licensure to serve as a Medical Assistant in this state
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
