Medical Care Specialist

As a Medical Care Specialist at the North Central Correctional Complex, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to inmates. Under the direction of the RN on duty, you will assess the condition of inmates and prescribe treatment as needed. Your responsibilities will include operating pill call, dispensing medication, and documenting patient information. You will also be responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
* Assess the condition of inmates and prescribe treatment as needed
* Operate pill call and dispense medication
* Document patient information and maintain medical records
* Maintain the security and confidentiality of medical records
* Adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED)
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and current valid nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the state of Ohio required
* Current CPR certification
* Three years of experience preferred
* Valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management
