Job Title: Medical Insurance Support Specialist

At International Medical Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers and producers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer inquiries and requests related to policy administration, including enrollments, changes, and cancellations.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to customer and producer engagement.
  • Review error reports to identify and correct system errors and analyze root causes with IT support.
  • Issue certificates of coverage, prior coverage, and student certification letters as requested.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of insurance policies and applications.
  • Work with the Premium Accounting team on transactions that impact premium.
  • Assist with questions around enrollments, renewals, and plan information via phone or email.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data entry or related role.
  • Ability to read and understand multiple insurance program rules and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
  • Data entry skills with ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous work experience in healthcare or insurance operations.
  • Investigative nature with problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
