Key Responsibilities

The Retirement Specialist will oversee the daily management of both a 401(k) plan and a pension plan, providing essential phone support to clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Processing time-sensitive requests for plan distributions.
  • Assessing eligibility for benefits.
  • Offering administrative support for various retirement plans.
  • Managing transactions for monthly pension payrolls, ensuring accurate balancing of earnings and deductions.
  • Overseeing biweekly and monthly 401(k) contributions and month-end accounting reconciliations.
  • Determining death benefits for both active and retired members, including all communications with beneficiaries and disbursement of benefits.

Essential skills for this role include strong organizational abilities, multitasking, customer service proficiency, and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
