Job Overview

Position Summary: The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis serves as a key financial and analytical resource for both corporate and local markets. This role is pivotal in overseeing and coordinating the budgetary planning processes across various healthcare service lines, including physician practices and home health services, thereby supporting community health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enhance the organization-wide budgeting and financial planning processes to facilitate informed decision-making; act as a resource for senior leadership on financial and systemic matters.
  • Serve as the primary expert on budgeting and financial planning software, driving improvements in the finance team's operational efficiency. Manage projects aimed at enhancing existing financial systems and implementing new software solutions.
  • Identify and address issues requiring review, ensuring standardization of processes and methodologies to enhance financial analytics for managerial decision-making.
  • Provide training to end users on financial planning applications, and engage in ongoing support and education regarding these tools within local markets, emphasizing workflow analysis and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate and consolidate corporate budget guidelines and critical assumptions for dissemination to local systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of ministry consolidation, elimination entries, and analysis, as well as the development of presentation materials for senior management and governance bodies. Provide analytical support, including sensitivity analysis and the preparation of financial statements and special reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with Shared Services and local finance teams to address issues arising from the analysis process, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Conduct analysis on the impact of new Medicare and Medicaid trends, maintaining awareness of reimbursement guidelines and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and income statements, along with periodic balance sheets, collaborating with Treasury to compute system-wide metrics. Provide relevant reports and presentations to assist senior finance leadership.
  • Maintain a constructive, customer-service-oriented relationship with CFOs and financial planners to facilitate the exchange of information and support financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Master's Degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive financial experience, demonstrating strong financial and business acumen.
  • Advanced skills in accounting, analytical processes, financial modeling, strategic planning, and forecasting. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively communicating complex information.
  • Expertise in financial information systems, with at least five years of experience in software administration related to budgeting or financial planning.
