Daily Responsibilities

The Retirement Specialist will oversee the daily management of both a 401(k) plan and a pension plan, providing customer support via phone. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing time-sensitive requests for plan distributions.
  • Assessing eligibility for benefits.
  • Offering administrative support for various retirement plans.
  • Managing transactions for monthly pension payrolls, ensuring accurate balancing of earnings and deductions.
  • Processing biweekly and monthly 401(k) contributions and conducting month-end reconciliations.
  • Determining death benefits for both active and retired members, including communication with beneficiaries and benefit disbursement.

Essential skills for this role include strong organizational abilities, multitasking proficiency, customer service expertise, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
