Test Engineering Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineering Lab Technician to support our Test Engineering functional group with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties. As a Test Engineering Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and conduct operational testing of test apparatus
- Perform cabinet integration testing and troubleshooting
- Write test reports to assess product performance
- Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications and procedures
- Set up and conduct tests of assembled units and components
- Record results with numerical and graphical data
- Analyze test results related to design and test objectives
- Provide hands-on feedback to engineers
- Support qualification testing, including test execution coordination
- Operate Engineering Lab environmental chamber
- Fabricate engineering and manufacturing test fixtures from drawings and schematics
- Perform test fixture repairs, modifications, and certifications
- Perform lab 6S activities (cleanup, safety, etc.)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience and an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interpret schematics
- Mechanical aptitude and practical knowledge of general hand tools and machine shop equipment
- Prior experience soldering
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware to the component level
- PC skills and experience using MS Word, Excel, and VISIO
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD
