Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Manager to lead our inside sales department and drive results. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate inside sales personnel, developing a comprehensive succession plan for the department.
  • Lead and manage the customer service team, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Directly contribute to the inside sales effort, influencing customer pricing matrices to maximize gross margin and sales.
  • Collaborate with management and purchasing to maintain optimal inventory levels, meeting key customer requirements and preventing dead inventory.
  • Sell industrial hose and gasket products, manage customer accounts, take orders over the phone and internet, and enter orders and product quotes into the computer system.
  • Emphasize salable features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders for obtained orders.
  • Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules and inventory.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions in the company database.
  • Work with account managers to keep account activities up to date.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that occur during employment.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related experience and/or training in customer service.
  • High school or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and supervising in a related industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience leading and developing individuals and teams.
  • Working knowledge of bottom-line business management with the ability to make sound business decisions, discuss and resolve problems.
  • Working knowledge of computers and business-related software.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English. Verbal Spanish skills are beneficial.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • This position works in an office/warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
