About Our Client

We are partnering with a Fortune 200 global multi-billion dollar manufacturing company near Northbrook, IL. One of their business units is a leading supplier in their niche and are actively searching to identify an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team due to an internal promotion.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing 3 direct reports - 2 AP and 1 AR. They will also manage the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Supporting external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implementing process improvements as needed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Cost accounting experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Understanding and application of accounting principles/practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills
