We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our team at Corewell Health. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for developing and implementing professional development programs that enhance the practice of nursing professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-quality educational activities, programs, and projects that address identified knowledge and practice gaps in nursing professionals.
- Analyze data and trends to determine learning needs and validate evidence of professional practice gaps and outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and resources to plan and implement lifelong learning activities for individuals and groups of learners.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices and develop measurement tools for quality improvement activities.
- Participate in professional role development, practice role transitions, and succession planning, and collaborate with community education programs to facilitate effective allied health and nursing education programs.
- Serve as a leader in inter-professional learning, professional growth, and practice change throughout the organization.
- Master's Degree in Nursing (BSN applicants considered for Generalist title)
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Five years of relevant education experience preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan
- Board Certified Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center
- At least one Certification from preferred list
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross
This position will be based at our Dearborn Hospital location and will work a standard 40-hour workweek with a day shift schedule.
