Job Summary:

The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial processes and machinery. This includes conceptualizing, detailing, and implementing control system architectures, selecting components, and programming controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation protocols, electrical schematics, and control panel design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for industrial processes and machinery
  • Program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU) and develop APIs using Python/FastAPI
  • Develop databases for archiving and displaying historical system data
  • Implement and commission control systems at client facilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in automation controls engineering, with a strong understanding of PLC hardware/software platforms, HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms, and DCS hardware/software platforms
  • Familiarity with automation protocols, electrical schematics, and control panel design
  • Strong leadership and client relation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
