Job Title: Field Nutritionist - Fruits and Vegetables Specialist

Job Summary:
FeedMore WNY is seeking a highly motivated Field Nutritionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive nutrition education and obesity prevention program for individuals accessing emergency food programs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of a nutrition education program for low-income populations.
- Identify food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed).
- Schedule and conduct nutrition education sessions and recipe demonstrations with SNAP-eligible participants.
- Market nutrition education sessions to food pantry operators and community partners.
- Utilize learner-centered teaching techniques to enhance the effectiveness of nutrition education sessions.
- Identify and implement policy, systems, and environmental strategies to support obesity prevention initiatives.
- Participate in activities sponsored by FeedMore, HPNAP, community groups, and other partners.
- Seek opportunities for professional development to improve job performance.

Requirements:
- BS in Nutrition or Public Health with a minimum of 15 credits in nutrition.
- 2 years of community nutrition/public health experience.
- Frequent travel required throughout FeedMore WNY's territory.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.

Salary:
$21.00-$23.00/hr.
