About the Role

THE POSITION

Consultant Relations Specialists (CRS) within the Global Consultant Relations team will collaborate with various Consultant Relations Managers (CRM) throughout the team and possess the necessary skills to assist with all facets of a consultant partnership. Notably, CRS are tasked with supporting our consultant relationships and serving as a collaborator to managers. A successful CRS will engage closely with managers to advance the agenda with each consulting firm and mobilize the resources of the organization on behalf of the consultant, aiming to deliver a superior level of service that surpasses the consultant's expectations and positions Wellington Management as the preferred partner.

This is a vibrant team. The Global Consultant Relations team is responsible for managing consultant partnerships with an emphasis on fostering new business and enhancing existing relationships. Consultant partnerships are vital to our firm as a significant portion of our clients depend on the guidance of these consultants for investment decisions. Consequently, the consultants represent a crucial source of leverage for business expansion, client service, and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct analysis and respond to inquiries on a range of topics, including market and investment-related questions.

2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the extensive range of Wellington Management's product offerings.

3. Assist CRM efforts in maintaining/updating consultant ratings, common strategies, and new business prospects.

4. Prepare briefing documents, coordinate and lead preparation meetings, submit and manage requests for materials, and review presentation documents for consultant meetings.

5. Prepare for and participate in consultant conference calls and meetings, focusing on content, key takeaways, and outcomes; manage meeting follow-ups.

6. Maintain internal systems with current information on consultant contacts, priority areas, activities, and opportunities.

7. Collaborate with CRMs to implement strategies for retaining and expanding our business with consultants.

8. Work with Investment Product & Strategies and the Client Service Group to ensure consultants receive accurate and timely data for new and existing products. This includes promptly addressing all consultant inquiries for information and coordinating with other functional areas as necessary.

9. Partner with Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers, and Investment Product & Strategies teams to ensure effective coordination and communication of ongoing consultant relations initiatives.

10. As needed, coordinate product review conference calls with the research teams at consulting firms to ensure our product capabilities are positioned for inclusion in investment manager searches.

11. Organize webinars and special events for consultants; attend industry conferences as agreed with CRM.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Understanding of asset management and the consultant relations function.

2. Demonstrated enthusiasm for and comprehension of global capital markets, investment styles, and instruments.

3. Ability to think strategically and collaborate with CRMs to devise a plan for retaining and growing consultant relationships.

4. Strong problem-solving skills, including creative thinking combined with a collaborative approach in seeking broader input.

5. Analytical skills to retrieve data and understand its implications.

6. Ability to work independently and proactively; to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment under tight deadlines with a high volume of competing demands; demonstrate composure under pressure.

7. Ability to work effectively within a team environment and a willingness to assist when necessary.

8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage a high volume of activity under tight deadlines.

9. Sound business judgment coupled with strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

10. Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

11. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

12. 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Our compensation approach considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 65,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
