Novant Health is in search of a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to enhance our ambulatory pharmacy team, ensuring exceptional medication management across all aspects of patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) or similar role
  • 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a primary care environment, focusing on diabetes, anticoagulation, lipid management, hypertension, obesity, and osteoporosis
  • Completion of a PGY2 Ambulatory residency or equivalent experience
  • Current BCPS or BCACP certification (board certification required post-employment for credentialing)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with NHMG providers and clinical staff to deliver outstanding patient care
  • Conduct medication therapy management and provide patient counseling
  • Promote high-quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care
  • Precept residents (PGY1/PGY2) and pharmacy students
  • Engage in pharmacy and NHMG committees and shared governance
  • Understand and apply quality improvement principles
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives
  • Support the educational and professional growth of the department and organization
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
  • Demonstrate proficiency with relevant equipment and software

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred
  • Experience: Completion of a postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship, or two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in a health system pharmacy required; ambulatory/clinic experience strongly preferred
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current Pharmacy licensure in the appropriate state(s) or must be obtained within 30 days of start date
    • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and maintained within 2 years of start date
  • Additional Skills: Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed and work effectively as part of a high-performing, adaptable team
